Meet Dr. Dana
Dr. Khuthaila is an extraordinarily talented and skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon who offers several procedures for the breast and body. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she is a visiting plastic surgeon in Kuwait, Dubai, and Qatar. She is a caring and compassionate physician who strives to create gorgeous, natural results for her patients. Among several honors and awards, Dr. Khuthaila, for seven consecutive years has been listed by the New York Times “Super Doctors in Plastic Surgery,” “Castle Connolly Top Doctors,” and “NY Top Doctors”.
Passionate
Dr. Khuthaila has a particular interest in breast and body contouring as they relate to a woman's body, especially surgery following a massive weight loss (bariatric surgery) or after childbirth in what is known as the "Mommy Makeover.”
She has a great deal of training and experience in breast reconstruction surgery after a mastectomy (the removal of a breast as cancer treatment).
Recognitions
She has been asked to present at numerous national and international meetings in the field of reconstructive breast surgery. She also has extended training and knowledge in transgender breast procedures. These procedures include MTF -breast augmentation and shaping and FTM- double mastectomy with chest contouring.
Among several honors and awards, Dr. Khuthaila, for six consecutive years, has been listed by the New York Times as “Super Doctors in Plastic Surgery.”
Skills and Specialties
Dr. Khuthaila performs surgery for the breast, face, body, and skin. She offers every aspect of cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, including breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction surgery for aesthetic improvement, as well as breast reconstruction for patients who have lost their breasts due to cancer or trauma.
Education and Training
Dr. Khuthaila attended The College of Medicine at King Saudi University, Saudi Arabia. After earning her medical degree, she spent many years studying under several renowned surgeons in various countries. After completing medical school, Dr. Khuthaila started a five-year integrated plastic surgery residency program at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, an institution known for creativity, innovation, and excellence.
She later went on to further specialized training in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery in Toronto, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Belgium, and Milan with world-renowned surgeons in cosmetic and microsurgical reconstructive breast surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and active in many professional medical societies.
